Kristin Cavallari is embracing her home life in the wake of her split from Mark Estes.
The Laguna Beach alum confirmed that she and her boyfriend of seven months had split on the Oct. 1 episode of her Let’s Be Honest podcast, in which she also showed off the kitchen in her brand-new abode.
“I am currently sitting in my half-empty kitchen, but actually there’s just boxes stacked everywhere,” she shared as massive floor-to-ceiling windows and a lengthy wooden dining table sat behind her. “Just moved into my new house a couple days ago.”
The 37-year-old recently relocated to the Franklin, Tennessee, pad with her kids Camden Cutler, 12, Jaxon Cutler, 10, and Saylor Cutler, 9, whom she shares with ex-husband, Jay Cutler.
“My kids were all so excited,” she shared of the move. “They’re all doing their own rooms, which is great. It’s so much easier moving when your kids are a little bit older. I hated moving with babies because they can’t do anything.”
As for one of her favorite spots in the house, the cookbook author shared that it was the very kitchen she showed to fans, complete with wooden panels and golden hardware.
“My kitchen, I’m finding, has the best light. It’s very open, it’s airy, which is what I like so much about it,” she dished. “There’s just a ton of natural light. I’m so excited that I’m in my new house.”
In the wake of her split from the Montana Boyz TikTok star, Kristin is refocusing her priorities on what matters to her in this current stage of life.
“I’m really happy and really content having my life right now being about my kids and work,” she said. “Happiness for me is peace, and peace for me is making this home exactly how I want it.”
The Very Cavallari star added that she’s not looking to go out and date right now, saying, “I’m a homebody. I really am. So me being home and cooking and having friends over, that’s the one thing I want to do is have a dinner party.”
As for what led to her split from the 24-year-old, Kristin shared that she was the one to end things, saying age played a big factor into the decision.
“I just know long term he needs to experience life,” she explained. “He’s young, I mean, he is. I started to feel the age a little bit just with life experience. I look back on when I was 24 and how much life has happened for me between then. Those are crucial years; those are formative years. This is when you find yourself, and he needs to be able to do that.”
